Call of Duty: WW2 E3 Multiplayer reveal trailer

Call of Duty: World War 2 has a new trailer, showing a lot of men getting shot and burned to death by other players from around the world.

The trailer shows the sort of intense WW2 battles you might remember from the early Call of Duty games, updated with modern visuals. Since this is the multiplayer mode, though, there are fewer set-pieces and more horrifying headshots. Having said that, there still seem to be environmental effects – at one point a plane flies overhead and crashes into a building.

It all looks pretty full-on – there’s not the usual emphasis on killstreaks of class differences or weed insignia you might expect from a Call of Duty multiplayer reveal. There’s one shot of a bomb being dropped on an enemy bunker, however, which is presumably another player’s reward for racking up kills, and at the end a soldier is shown dual-wielding pistols. There’s also a tank towards the end of the trailer – is a player in control of it?

One interesting touch is the way the game seems to position this conflicts as a part of the war – at one point in the trailer a team is shown arriving together on the back of a truck and disembarking together. At another, troops are shown parachuting onto the battlefield.

Call of Duty: WW2 will be available from November 3. A private beta will be available from August 28 for those who have preordered the game.

I expected more. Its a bit underwhelming. Happy its WW2 but it looks like were still running the old CoD engine it seems.

where are the swastika?

A female soldier in WW2? Is this a joke?

Interstellar

Doesn't look bad, I like that it seems to be more a setting type thing, positioned as part of the war as mentioned, not just dropping people into multiplayer that has very little to do with the conflict

Lunar

Well that is a lot of pre-rendered chaos, sure. But judging from the first person bits spliced here and there it seem like the usual CoD run&gun.
