EA commits Anthem will arrive in March 2019

Electronic Arts yesterday held company's financial presentation for the fiscal year 2017, where, apart from confirming that the next Battlefield will have a singleplayer campaign, EA's Blake Jorgensen has revealed that the new project from Canadian BioWare is scheduled for March of 2019.

Specifically, Jorgensen said that Anthem "will be shipped in the last quarter of the year and in the last month of that quarter". Recall that EA's fiscal year lasts from April to March, which means that the upcoming multiplayer action RPG will be squeezed for the current financial year.

Interestingly, Jorgensen said EA was "being conservative" when it comes to Anthem's potential success - for a few reasons. One, it's a new intellectual property. Two, because Anthem comes out right at the end of EA's financial year, the company will probably have limited restocking of the game, "even if it's extremely successful". But, despite this, Electronic Arts is very excited about this title as it is "an extremely unique experience and players will really enjoy playing it".
