Call Of Duty's 2019 Title Will Have A Single-Player Campaign

  • 1036

Last year, Activision invited controversy by eschewing a single-player campaign in Call of Duty for the first time in the series' history with Black Ops 4. While the game ended up both selling and reviewing extremely well in large part due to its battle royale Blackout mode, a number of fans held a hard line on the lack of single-player content. Today, Activision confirmed that this year's game will remedy that.

During today's earnings call, Activision president Rob Kostich revealed that they plan to bring back the single-player campaign in this year's Call of Duty game, presumably developed by Infinity Ward. Kostich also mentioned that the game would still have the traditional multiplayer modes in addition to a "new" co-op mode.

Всё-таки старые серии данной франшизы в большей степени славились отлично срежисированное одиночной компанией. Надеюсь в новой части разработчики с этим не подкачают.

You cannot play multiplayer games like BO4 when the servers shut down. So basically the product cannot be played anymore. There's no single player mode so it will be forgotten forever. At least they were thinking this time and they will have a single player campaign in their next game. If EA can have single player you can too.

Totally agree with you. Especially as i remember that i bought CoD 1, CoD United Offensive and CoD mainly for SP

Both mode are necessary imo. A good MP makes the game last but those servers won't last forever so a single campaign is mandatory.
