Myst's Indie Developer Cyan Worlds Still Short of Funding Goals for Firmament

  • 119

Remember Myst?  The surprise hit puzzle game became one of the best-selling PC games of all time in the late 90s and became a huge franchise with sequels, books and almost a series on Hulu.

Independent developer, Cyan Worlds, is now looking for funding on Kickstarter for its next project titled, Firmament.  The game is still short of its funding goal of $1.3 million that finishes on April 26.

Firmament is the next step in the evolution of Cyan, deeply rooted in the spirit of Myst, Riven, and Obduction.  Welcome to an all-new, enigmatic narrative adventure.

Cyan promises the game to be a deeply immersive experience, and is presently planning for both PC and VR launches if the funding succeeds.  Campaign backers will receive a host of limited edition items and exclusive swag.

If you enjoyed Myst and its sequels, you might check out the Kickstarter project for Firmament before its too late!
