Thanks for this info ! Is it just me or is Steam lagging hard today ? I cant get anything to load right . My connection is fine also. Guess all this demo lvling is making Steam flip out lol

In Europe we are the same with steam hard lag for an hour , to get the badged you have to download a game and play it 15 minutes

A little shortcut if you're using ArchiSteamFarm(ASF):

!addlicense asf 583361, 718797, 719478, 714470, 720428, 586749, 727010, 730682, 704024, 722834

!play asf 1642370, 1990970, 1992900, 1979010, 1995770, 1650980, 2013570, 2023830, 1952410, 2001950

and presto you'll get the level 3 badge fully maxed out immediately. Of course you can download and play as many demos as you like smiley

I'm not seeing my XP increase after the last couple demos played, so I assume it's capped at 100 for the first 10 demos played.

That is correct but if you hover over the badge you'll notice the number of demos played will change in the badge description. People seem to like pumping up the demos played count.
