Here’s a look into the Worlds 2022 Drops you can get by watching live on LoLEsports.com, including info on some new goodies.
As the Worlds anthem rings out, teams will descend onto the Rift to battle it out for the biggest prize in LoL Esports. Catch all of the exciting games live on lolesports.com starting with the Play-In Stage and get the chance to obtain exclusive rewards! Rewards can be obtained via drops on lolesports.com during special moments in the broadcast, or by playing Pick’Em!

Introducing the 2022 Worlds Rewards Capsule
Continuing on from last year’s program, we’re excited to bring you a new selection of LoL Esports-exclusive Icons, Emotes, and more to collect throughout the two months of games via the 2022 Worlds Rewards Capsule! After earning a 2022 Worlds Rewards Capsule through Drops or Pick'em, you will get one item at random from the following list:
- One of the Worlds-exclusive Icons or Emotes for 2022 (excluding team logos)
- One 2022 Esports Capsule
- One Hextech Chest & Key
This year, the 2022 Worlds Rewards Capsules are designed so that you cannot get a duplicate! Keep watching to collect all of the exclusive items for Worlds 2022! Repeatable rewards like the 2022 Esports Capsules and Hextech Chests and Keys will, of course, be earnable multiple times even after receiving all the permanent items.
Additionally, we’ve also modified the 2022 Esports Capsules! If you get an Icon or Emote you already have, you can simply disenchant the duplicate into Orange Essence to use in Hextech Crafting! Additionally, we’ve disabled re-rolls on the Emotes this year to keep the collecting more fair, so feel free to disenchant those extras!
Drops 101
We're excited to bring back Drops for Worlds 2022 as we celebrate the best teams in each league! But in case you need a reminder, read below for more details on how to make sure you earn your rewards. When logged in on lolesports.com with your Riot account, you will have the opportunity to randomly earn a Drop while watching matches and during specific moments of the tournament. For example:
- We always drop loot when there is a Pentakill, because that is pretty epic!
- We might drop loot when there is a triple or quadrakill, keep your eyes open!
- We might also drop loot between games or during opening and closing ceremonies, come and see!
While rewards might differ region by region depending on rules and regulations, a majority of this year’s drops will be global or to the majority of the audience watching at that point. Stay tuned on @LoLEsports to always be up to date on new rewards for your region. More consistently, and because the Drops squad likes to make sure things are rocking and rolling, you can expect a Drop at the beginning of the first game of each stage (Play-Ins, Group Stage, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals) to get a warm-up Drop! Remember to be logged in to lolesports.com, opted into getting rewards, and on the live Worlds 2022 stream at least 5 minutes before these moments to make sure you don’t miss them! We would love you to join us for the entire tournament to get a chance at some amazing new Drop exclusives! Join in every day for chances, and check your Drops anytime on the Rewards Hub page. BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! That’s right, the Drops squad heard you and have made it easier to share your Drops with the world on all social media platforms! Just tap the Share button and copy the resulting graphic to your social media feed of choice!

FAQs
How do I know if I’m set up for Drops? Watch from lolesports.com and login with your Riot ID. On the player page you’ll notice a green checkmark that will let you know if everything is working.
When and where can I get Drops? Each day during the tournament, logged in viewers on lolesports.com who are watching the live broadcast may have a chance to get a loot drop from Riot or one of our partners. Drops only happen during the live broadcast, not VODs, so make sure you’re logged in and opted-in for Drops and Rewards to participate!
Where do I redeem my Drops? Each drop card will include information about how to redeem it. In-game items will usually be delivered directly to your account within 24 hours. If you win a merch item, Riot Support will contact you within 30 days to arrange delivery. Sometimes you’ll get a code for in-game content as well, and this code is yours to use or share! In all cases, locate the drop in your Rewards Hub and click on it to see!
Cool, I got a code for a Chroma! Now what? Occasionally, we’ll drop codes for Champion Skin Chromas. These color treatments help you personalize your champion’s skin in new ways, but require a specific skin and champion to use! If you get a code for a Chroma that belongs to a skin you don’t own, you can view it in the Chroma tab of the in-client Loot area but cannot equip it unless you own the skin and champion. Chroma codes can be redeemed in the client, or you can share the code with someone to use themselves, but it can only be redeemed once, so choose wisely!
How can I check if I’ve received Drops? Simply log in on lolesports.com with your Riot ID and go to the Rewards tab to check on your drops.
Can I get Drops by watching VODs? Unfortunately, drops are not available on VODs.
Can I receive Drops while watching in full-screen? Yes! As long as you are watching on lolesports.com and logged into your Riot account, you will receive drops.
Do I need to use a specific browser? For the best watching experience, we recommend using Firefox, Chrome, or Edge browsers. Also, be sure to disable any ad blocker software you use to ensure you don’t miss any drops. If you’re using Firefox, please remember to disable the Enhanced Tracking Protection feature.
Is there a limitation on which Drops I can get? Most drops are available globally, but some can be region-blocked if they're dedicated to a specific country, region or partner. If you have a Riot account, you will be able to receive drops; however, at this time, Tencent and Garena accounts aren't supported.
I saw other viewers receiving Drops, but I didn’t – what happened? Some drops have a limited number of rewards, while others are given to everyone watching. The quantities depend on the reward, so cross your fingers that you get lucky!
Why did I receive a different reward from another viewer? Some drops have multiple rarity tiers. A higher rarity tier usually means a better reward – for example, some viewers may receive one specific ingame item, whereas other lucky viewers may get another in-game item. Pay attention to the rarity of the card and good luck!
Why did a friend in another region get a different drop than me? Drops look and content might sometimes differ by region due to local agreements, laws, and regulations. While we’re making sure your Riot region isn’t a factor in getting drops, sometimes the content can change.
Something went wrong with my Drop – what should I do? First, don’t panic! Nothing is lost! Make sure that you’re logged in on lolesports.com with your Riot Account. Ensure that you have a green tick on your live player.
