Is it worth getting

Galactic

It depends.

I bought it because I wanted to have a UO-like experience.  I somewhat got that.

It feels kind of like UO with some modern gameplay elements added on.  The performance can be pretty bad.  I stopped playing because I'd get single digit framerate in towns (likely due to the hideous player customized houses).

I don't really regret my purchase, but the game changed a lot from what was originally pitched during the kickstarter.  At the beginning it sounded like a game that was very close to old Ultima gameplay.  Now it feels like a platform to sell house customization items.

I am an Ultima fan but im afraid i will be so disapointed in this game so i cant decide if i should get ir or not...

Honestly I don;t think it is worth it.  Graphics and gameplay just feel so lousy.  It feels almost like it is several steps away from what a good RPG MMO should be.

The game is enjoyable... it is still rough around the edges and there is a lot of content to still be added. However, you can get a good feel for it now and certainly get a lot done

Should also add, that the community is the main part of the game - lots of player runs towns, player run events, etc. It is more this aspect which makes SotA unique, and it will be this that keeps it developing and growing.

It is not your typical "hack and slash" quest-based MMORPG in my opinion
