Hello everyone , Happy New Year ! I'm thinking buying the Aurora laptop ( the base 16 , not the 16X ) , as a present for my brother . Anyone has got one , and what is your experience ? How is the laptop battery life , thermals and fan noise wise , under normal everyday tasks ? Honestly I don't mind the fans under gaming , he is a casual gamer , plus he's got a desktop for that . It is with great sadness that we share news of the recent tragedy , the founding member of our Alienware ecosystem , my 17R3 laptop , just before her 9th Birthday , has refused to boot up due to hard drive failure , and please respect our privacy during this difficult time . We are hoping for her full recovery , and please feel free to share your experience with regards your longest running Alienware laptop(with original parts) without hardware problem . 9 years surely is quite an achievement .
