I clicked on the GA for Resident Evil Village-Trauma Pack Giveaway to see what was in it. Instead of seeing a description of the GA, I just see...

Anything good or AAA Alienware region lock it to NA they did the same with street fighter and Dbd even the resident evil weekly task is NA only. They would rather let level1 NA account have codes than higher level EU accounts.

Before you could just change the url prefix to access the giveaway they even scripted the site to stop Eu from getting anything that way, but hey we get beta access to indie games

Well, Trover Saves the Universe was for both NA and EU, so there's that. I'm not saying that giveaways aren't oftentimes restricted to NA, but I'm just pointing out that a recent GA for a good game was also open to EU. Now... people need to realize that AWA doesn't set region restrictions, publishers do. Asking devs/publishers to address the issue on their social media might be more effective than complaining here. Just my two cents.

That also happens to me, it seems like discrimination,
just because we are Latin American we cannot access these gifts,
bad alienware...

Thank you for the responses. I hadn't noticed the eu prefix in my awa url.

No joy. Still get the same sad message even after deleting the eu prefix.

Edit: I cycled back through the home page and clicked the GA link from there. It used the na prefix, and I got the key. :)

Trust me, friends, If I could make everything available for everyone I would. We have to listen to publishers and developers and follow their recommendations for key distribution. Sometimes, the keys only work on certain geographical servers, such as NA. Sometimes 95% of their player base is in NA and they just want the promotion to be NA. This year, we have been striving to make more giveaways global and I believe we have succeeded in that. We at Alienware and Alienware Arena are all people and do the best we can to make everybody happy. Those support emails people write to about their key that they VPNed key not working? A real-life person answers that and it's not their fault that the key is region locked. I know some people get upset, and trust me, your voices are heard, but it's not something that we can change overnight. We are working towards that, and as Alienware Arena continues to grow, so do opportunities for bigger and better global promotions. We love our community and again, we try our best to give each user something of value, whether that be information, news, or giveaways.
