When that happens to me, sometimes I'll go and check out some demos. Next Fest just ended, but a lot of the demos from that are still up, at least the ones I'm playing.

Just google "Steam Random Game Picker". There are tons of websites where you can enter your SteamID (for library sync) & roll the dice. "HowLongToBeat" seems also to have such a feature for registered users.

Also Steam has a built in feature, "Play Next" library collection with some random recommendations, "Players like you love these unplayed games in your library".
