They expire on the 15th day of the fourth month following the month in which they were issued. That means Dell rewards you earn or buy from the marketplace in May will expire on September 15th.

You can extend them another three months if you convert them (near their expiration) to dell dollars right before purchasing something, backing out, and clearing your cart. Best to save up for around black friday time.

They expire after a few months have passed and it forces you to use them sooner. But you'll have to be extremely selective about what you buy because sometimes the orders won't go through on Dell without being refunded or vanishing forever.
