ARP Acquisition for Steam Quest

  • 1

I have to give up when I want to try Steam Quest for ARP but the only game titles in the lineup are ones I don't own.

So, suggestion, fix the popular free games and popular paid game titles for a chance for everyone to increase their ARP.

Just add a fixed game title to the current method.

We always add a minimum of 1 free game each week. Brawlhalla is free.

Thanks for the comments, I would like to eliminate the need to add or re-add every time the game title changes.

If you keep adding games, you will be squeezed for space, and it is quite a hassle to uninstall games and install new ones each time.

I might add Ark: SE is a whopping 300 GB download. Not everybody has their storage capacity just for jokes and giggles but actually uses it.

Edit: Ended up using good ol' Idle Daddy quest shows as completed even if there's not enough local space to initialize install of the game.

This begs the question of course: how much sense do this quests make? Are developers happier to see playtime go up or should we be enticed to buy games on Steam we don't have already? Is there a conspiracy between Idle Daddy devs and Alienware and if yes are the ISPs into this also?cheeky

I have a 6tb HDD so i don't have that problem.  I don't find unistalling a game to be diffcult either.  Yes there is at least one free game every month for steam quests as well which is great, often I see two free games which is better.

Not everyone uses a 6TB HDD for games, and I use my capacity differently than you do because I do video editing, etc.
And I am not going to buy a HDD just for SteamQuest. This is just a request to make it easier to do STEAM QUESTS.

If you feel the same way, please comment.

I think the Steam quests are a waste of bandwidth. I don't know if capped connections are still a thing but aside from this issue: downloading dozens or hundreds of gigs just for playing one hour is simply stupid. If you don't have enough storage space or use it in more productive ways you're between a rock and a hard place.

I trust most members are intelligent people and don't want to contribute deliberately to such a waste of time, resources and energy. Therefore I advise everybody to use Idle Daddy on your mobile for completing the quests.

On the subject of game selection: there are tons of nice indie games with only a few hundred megabytes in size. Why not consider those instead of the perpetual mainstream?

In case you wanted to play the games all along please go ahead and enjoy the games and ignore my comment.

I am very disappointed that there seems to be no improvement.

Don't get me wrong, there are many ways to get games for free, and the most recent game I got was Shadow of War Definitive Edition, but it is a memory site, not a giveaway site, and I wish it were easier to use.

Fall Guys should be removed from the quest.

The reason is that Fall Guys is no longer available on Steam at the request of the publisher.
