Is there some benefit to making a post every day? Why do some people make a "day x" post?

no benefit (you gain no ARP) and if the mods consider it spamming they may penalizing you by deducting some ARP form you, didn't happen so far but it might, also don't publish NSFW content that will definitely make them penalize you

why they do it, some just find it fun to post here some thing it gives them ARP, even though everyone tells them it doesn't some do it for the achievements

There's an achievement for posting 50 relays, which has no reward except the chance of your spam being removed for spam. I suspect some people are posting daily only because they see others do it too.
