NOTICE:

With non-Hive streamers, I think it now requires watching a Twitch stream for twice as long to earn ARP.

I wasn't worried when an admin explained it "will take a little bit longer" with non-Hive streams, but it seems there was a 100% increase for the time required to earn 15 ARP with a Team Liquid member (Demu).

I didn't notice any change with the time required to earn 15 ARP with a Hive steamer (Lovinurstyle). 👍

(i am a noob) what exactly is the difference between Hive and non-Hive streams, and why does this difference exist?

@chal8 - Alienware had their Twitch group called Hive, but later made a partnership with Team Liquid (pro gamers) allowing a few to appear on AWA. Alienware created a new group called Nexus, but I don't know what's different from Hive.

Yeah, not a good move from the admins. People have lives too. We can't keep streams running forever

You can still watch all the Hive members to earn at the same speed as before, but we've just added a new group as well on top of those you can watch but will take longer to max out. You can see on the quest page which group they are.

From my experience, I very rarely see any Hive members online. Almost always there are multiple Partner members online, although now it's taking at least 2x as long(seems longer actually) than before with these same streamers.

Just the admins being disrespectful of our time and slowing down our ARP progress....again. Just be direct about it at least instead of trying to spin it as something positive.

@Pylawn there are no hive members online, and the only one online doesnt even have the plugin on her twitch, so it's not registering any points for us.

Hive streamers only work NA hours so they won't be around when Europe or Row wakes up.

@SirScorpio This is fair feedback, we're actively working on onboarding more non-NA timed members to the Hive, but we will keep an eye on the timings of those folks too. I will also look into the time seeming to be more than 2x
