My new laptop

  • -1
Hey guys, my name is Dylan, i recently bought an M18x and seeming as this website isnt banned at my work I thought id join so I have something to procrastinate with haha. anyway what it is, Alienware M18x R2 Intel i7-3610QM 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M Kingston 128GB SSD and Seagate 500GB HDD Not being content with this even though i bought the laptop last week haha, i have bought an i7-3920xm, 7970m, and i have an extra 16GB of RAM and 2 256 SSD's lying around, so I will be having a busy weekend haha. Pretty much Ive been a diehard 360 gamer for the last 6 years but id just started to get stale, I needed something new in my life, and here it is haha. Anyway looking forward to reading up through the forum and learning more about my new toy, cheers guys Dylan

congrats on your new machine it will defiantly make your gamming days better :) best of luck

Thanks mate, ive already started playing some games on it that were my favourites on 360 and enjoying it much much more, cant wait to get stuck in and start upgrading haha

Haha, congrats man. I just recived my m14x yesterday. What a great machine.

Congrats on the new rig man. Where did you get the CPU and GPU upgrades from? I'm guessing ebay?

yeah ebay from the states, dell wanted $1300 for a 3840qm delivered with a 8 week wait time and $800 for the 7970m with an 8 week wait time haha. I ended up getting a 3920xm with a triple pipe heat sink and a 7970m with a proper AMD 100w heatsink for just over $1000. down the line ill probably look at fitting another 7970m and going crossfire but nil funds right now haha

cheers guys I dont want to go to over the top with it as I plan on building a PC one day haha, being in the military and moving around a lot though this is perfect for that :)
