ok im getting a alienware m14x and the main game i play is minecraft. my current computer gets 1 fps without moving and there is no addons. i know ill get so much better performance with this but can i have a number... i am hoping to expand my pc gaming line with this machine. thanks so much!

I get a decent FPS rate on my M14xR2 with i7, 16GB of ram and 650m. It can drop frames sometimes, as Minecraft is pretty resource heavy, but, the 650m can play it pretty well. Not excellent, but pretty well. You might get 30 to 60 FPS if you put it to the right settings. Also. I doubt your computer gets 1 FPS. That would mean that the screen changes once per second. You wouldn't play a game at that rate, I know that as a fact. It would be like a slideshow - literally. Also, there are addons that can help you on your computer - OptiFine helps performance.

I have an alienware aurora r4 that has an intel core i7-3970X cpu @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz 32gb of ddr3 memory 64-bit windows 7 ultimate with nVidea graphics card and it runs minecraft at 600 solid fps without optifine and sphax 256x256

Isn't there a bug with Minecraft where the graphics card might not see it and you have to manually change the graphics card settings to allow Minecraft to run on it. Not entirely sure if any of that was accurate or if it only affects certain brands of graphics card but I have heard of it somewhere. Google it to see if that I the problem.
