Valve has from Steam removed a publisher who has faked reviews

Here's one important lesson for all players and game publishers trying to break to the overwhelming market of Steam. By no means leave user reviews and praise for the product you sell. Namely, Valve any fake user reviews on Steam takes seriously, as they have proved in the recent case of an indie team.

Insel Games from Malta got booted from Steam, picturesquely said, after finding out that the employees themselves bought their own game and left positive reviews for it. The whole thing was discovered when an email leaked where the boss directly gave a command to write positive reviews with the intent to make their product longer attractive to the audience because of good critics, or reviews.

Insel Games so far on Steam has had one released game - Wild Buster: Heroes of Titan, which went on sale late last year, and in the meantime it has gathered about 15,000 players, probably due to guest characters such as Serious Sam and Duke Nukem. The game had 70% positive reviews until the time of removal.

Maybe it is a bit too harsh to remove the game all together.

I think it would have been better to fine them and make them write an open letter to their customers.

FPS COOP

Good for potential buyers. Hate those spamming good reviews.

Peut-être que c'est un peu trop dur d'enlever le jeu tous ensemble.

Je pense qu'il aurait mieux valu leur imposer une amende et leur faire écrire une lettre ouverte à leurs clients.

I think the same !

И правильно, так и нужно поступать с такими разработчиками.
