I just read an interesting article over on The Telegraph. I'm not going to share many of my views, but WOW. Let's try and not be too political, but here's the article. You're welcome to share your thoughts but please let's not heat this up too much. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/australiaandthepacific/australia/9492504/Tasmania-considers-cigarette-ban-for-anyone-born-after-2000.html

The link you provided has tracking cookies. Way to go! meh, but I guess all of them do...

as long as kids born after 2000 will be able to know about cigarets, to sit near people who smoke and breathe their smoke passively, there will never be that smoking-free generation

I see nothing wrong with this and it's a good start. Policing/enforcing it would be the problem though.

It's not my fault. If you don't trust The Telegraph then I wonder where you read your news.

Yeah that really sucks, unfortunately. Still a nice idea.

So you saying, just because it's not perfect it shouldn't happen?

with the way taxes on tabaco are going im shure only the rivh will be able to smoke sooner or later. and by that time they wont even want to smoke

On one hand I think smoking is pretty terrible and are o.k. with it. On the other hand this feels a lot like they are restricting their freedoms which I am not a fan of. (And did anybody else notice the bit where the retailers call them a nanny state?)
